This show was inspired by a twelve-part visual art series titled “Healing of the Heart”, by artist Meagan Tarka, who was previously a dancer and teacher at Lighthouse Dance. Each piece was created in a different medium and portrays an emotional state through the healing process – from past trauma until fully transformed.

We drew inspiration from those twelve pieces to create an immersive artistic journey of the heart as it moves through trauma into healing. Lighthouse Dance collaborated with music artists who composed and recorded original music for each of the twelve “chapters” of this story. Each musical piece was then partnered with talented choreographers, and dancers who portray this transformational journey on stage.
